Testosterone & DHEA: The Source of Strengty & Energy In Men

Testosterone is well known as the premier "male" hormone. It is responsible for sexual development in men, but it also plays important roles in building muscle mass and other aspects of the body. For this reason it is known as an anabolic (literally "to build up") hormone. DHEA is the hormone from which the body makes testosterone, but it also has many anabolic properties in its own right.

If testosterone or DHEA levels are low, the body can have trouble balancing the "building up" activities with the "tearing down" (known as "catabolic") activities. Too much tearing down can result in fatigue in the long run. In fact, general fatigue and reduced sexual energy is often a key sign of low testosterone in men.

As men age, their levels of testosterone and DHEA often decline dramatically, making men over 40 vulnerable to fatigue caused by hormone deficiency.
